Step 6: LiveScan Fingerprinting

Fingerprinting is now required by the State for all youth sports volunteers. Like the background check, fingerprinting is covered by the Region. Please note that fingerprints must be submitted for each organization you volunteer with (e.g., AYSO, schools, Little League), as they are not shared across agencies.

Our region has partnered with a local office to assist in expediting the process. If you use this partner, you do not need to pay and go through the reimbursement process. Please be sure to use the fingerprint application below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: How do I find online courses to take?

Once in AYSOU, click Training Library on the left side to view all available online training courses.

Question: How do I find in-person certification courses at AYSOU?

Once in AYSOU, click Training Event on the left side to view all available in-person training courses. (Tip: remove Region 55 from the top filter bar to see all training courses). You may register for, and attend, Certification Courses through ANY AYSO region.

Note: Higher-division Coaching Certification does not confer to lower levels. Meaning, if you are a Certified 12U Coach, this does not qualify you to coach at the 10U level. Coaches must obtain Certification at each age-division they coach, in order to be protected under the Volunteer Protection Act.

Question: How can I verify which AYSOU courses I have completed?

The easiest method is to log into your account and click the Volunteer tab. Below your name, is your certification statuses.  Once in the AYSOU system, click "My Training" on the left side to view your completed courses.
