Game Day Coach Resources

Welcome!

Welcome to your one-stop hub for everything you need on game day! Here you’ll find quick guides, rules, scoring info, and helpful tools designed to make coaching easier and more enjoyable. Whether it’s managing your team, understanding game flow, or preparing for playoffs, these resources will keep you confident and ready to focus on what matters most—helping players learn, grow, and have fun.

Open & Closing Fields

Coaches will receive a weekly email from their Division Coordinator with field responsibilities.

As a general rule: the first team of the day must open the field, and the last team of the day must close it. If your team is listed in the weekly email, you are responsible for that field.

When two teams are assigned, the duty is shared—please work together!

Rules of the Game & Reminders

Please make sure your referees are scheduling games to referee. Always make sure that your referees have their gerar with them during game days.
Check your Ref Points: You can check how many referee points you have by scrolling to the bottom of your team page on Matchtrak. In order to proceed to the playoffs, all teams must have 42 points.
The fields have a spectator line to the right of the coaches box. Please have your parents and spectators sit behind that line if they are on that side of the field so that they are not in the way of the assistant referee.
Please do not have your parents sit inside of your coaches box. That is your domain as coaches!
Coaches, please remain in your coaches box and do not roam. Remain in your box and do not stand right at the touchline.
The source of the truth of whether or not your game will be played is MatchTrak. Always check MatchTrak for changes!

How to Enter Scores in Matchtrak

The home team is responsible for entering scores in Matchtrak within 24 hours of the match. However, any team may enter the score.

Please note: 6U & 8U scores are not entered and standings are not kept, in order to keep the focus on development and fun in a low-pressure situation.

Go to Matchtrak.com and click on AYSO Region 55 link.

Find your team page and locate your game. In the "Results" column, located on screen right, click Submit to enter the match scores.

Enter the # of goals scored by both the Home and Away teams.
Enter the Score Password (this password changed each season, please contact your Division Coordinator if you do not have it).
Click Submit Correct Score to complete your game results.
