As of August 24, 2021, Region 55 will accept applications for the role of Regional Commissioner.  The position of Regional Commissioner is the person charged with the daily operation of the local AYSO Region.  The Regional Commissioner role requires a time commitment averaging 25-30 hours per week. During the months of the Fall and Spring seasons, program hours can increase depending on program requirements, meetings and special events.

Qualifications to be eligible to nominate yourself or be nominated for this position are you are preferably a current or past Regional Board Member or a registered volunteer in good standing with the Organization and Region 55. 

Once all applications have been received they will be reviewed by the current Region 55 Nomination Committee, which consists of Jason McEwen, Paul Kirby and Marianne Low.  The Area Director will then conduct an election to vote on who will be the Regional Commissioner.  Once that process is complete, the Area Director will forward this update to the Section Director and then to the AYSO National Board of Directors for approval. 

The DEADLINE for submitting an application is September 25, 2021. It is anticipated that the vote will occur on September 28th, 2021 and the Executive Board Members in place at the time of the open nominations will be eligible to vote.
