Spring Registration

SPRING 2026 SOCCER REGISTRATION OPENS DECEMBER 17TH!!

2026 Registration for ALL DIVISIONS will be opening soon!

Teams are formed based on volunteer coach availability in 6U-19U. First time coach? Reach out to coach administrators, Justin Betance ([email protected]) and Allissa Blystone ([email protected]), who will work with you to get your started.

The AYSO Player Membership Fee is an additional $25 NON-REFUNDABLE fee that goes directly to the AYSO National Office. It covers insurance and other resources. It is charged once per membership year, which runs 8/1 - 7/31 (if your player participated in the Fall 2025 season, you will not pay for that player again in Spring).

All teams are required to have a coach, assistant coach, team parent, and a minimum of one referee.

Coaches, assistant coaches, referees and team parents must sign up online at ayso55.org as a volunteer, have completed the AYSO Safe Haven, CDC Concussion, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses online at AYSOU. Referees must be trained and coaches must have their division specific coaching license. Training will be available throughout the month of February. Volunteers start HERE.
There is a possibility there will be a couple of weekends with no games and an occasional Sunday game - all games on the schedule are required, a team cannot opt out of playing.
8U will be playing 6v6 in the spring!

2026 Spring Season

Hello Region 55 Families,

We hope that you and your families are having a fantastic holiday season and are doing well. We appreciate you participating in the Fall season and hope that you and your players had as much fun as we did. It certainly was a great Fall season.

It is now time to start registering for the Spring 2025 season at www.ayso55.org. As always, you have to register your child for the Spring season. The cost for Spring will be $100.00. If you're a new player and did not play in the Fall then the cost will be $125.00 as there is the $25.00 National Player Fee that goes to the AYSO National Office.

Coaches, assistant coaches, referees and team parents you will need to volunteer for the Spring season so that you can be added to the team. You will not have to do the background check if you did one in the Fall as that is valid for one year. However, all volunteers need to keep an eye out in their email from Sterling Volunteers as you will get a 30 day notice that the background check is about to expire. If that occurs, please sign in to Sterling Volunteers and renew the background. As we have always done, Region 55 will pay for the background.

Please register your player and yourself if volunteering as soon as possible!! Practices will begin in February (dates to be determined) and the first game will be beginning of March, 2025. The season is scheduled to conclude in May 2025. As you can see there is a lot to do and we can't begin forming the teams etc if your child is not registered.

Spring will run similar to Fall Registration. Teams will be formed by the Registrar as we get enough coaches to volunteer. You can submit requests during registration in the notes. Our number one goal is to create divisions that foster a fair and fun playing experience for ALL teams. Please reach out to Laura at [email protected] if you have any registration questions.

This year our Spring season will include teams from 6U to 16U. Please remember that AYSO is an all volunteer organization. Teams are formed based on volunteer coach availability. If you are thinking about being a coach for the first time, please let our coach administrator, Justin Betance, [email protected] know, as we have all the resources to get you started. If you coached in the Fall, you can request and recruit players for the division you are coaching. You can also simply sign up to coach your child's team and we will fill out the rest of your team from the registrations that come in. However, it is very important that if you have a pool of players that you want for your team they must be registered for the Spring season as we cannot hold their place waiting for them to register.

Coaches, we will have a mandatory coach meeting sometime in the first week of February. Date to be announced.

All teams will need a coach, assistant coach, team parent and a minimum of one referee. Two to three would be ideal. 6U and 8U teams will need one referee. As per AYSO guidelines, all volunteers must have SafeHaven, Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest training which are done online. If you have already completed those courses you do not need to do them again.

New referees will need to be trained and dates of those training sessions will be announced soon.

New coaches will need to be trained and have a coach certificate for the division that they are coaching. Region 55 will have a training date for all new 6U and 8U coaches. Dates to be announced. There will also be an Area K training for referees and coaches for 10U and above in February, dates TBA

The effective date of age determination for registration shall be the player's age as of December 31, 2024.

The registration system will only offer available programs based on birth year.

Individuals who reach 19 years of age by December of the end of the Membership year are not eligible to participate.

Player Request Policy

8U and 6U Divisions

We honor requests for players, however, we do strive to balance teams (one of our AYSO philosophies), so there is no guarantee the request will be made.

10U Divisions and Up

Coach may choose an Assistant coach, as long as team balance can be maintained by the request.
Requests can be made but are not guaranteed. At this age, it is important that teams do not carry forward similar players, to ensure fairness in balancing teams.

Refund Policy

All refund requests must follow the procedures specified below:

Players who are not placed on a team will receive a full refund and DO NOT need to make a written/email request.
Refund requests made after teams start practicing are subject to a reduction in cost incurred by the region up to that point (insurance, uniforms)
No refunds will be given once games have been played (except for medical reasons and these will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
The National Player Fee of $25.00 is not refundable.

To request a refund, the parent of the player must send an email to the Registrar at [email protected].
